Golden Rule Tradition
Golden Rule Marble
This simple, powerful idea is at the heart of many of the world's strongest religions and has been a core value of our Company for more than 50 years. The tradition of inscribing the rule on a marble and then distributing the marble was believed to have been started by Jesse Shwayder (founder of Samsonite); although many others from all walks of life, including W. W. Clements (founder of Dr. Pepper) have also taken up this noble work.
At our Company, each new employee is given a marble to help remind them that the Golden Rule is at the heart of our business and our values. Countless more of the marbles have been given by Company associates to friends and customers around the world. Our founder, W. H. Hankins personally handed out more than 12,000 Golden Rule marbles during his career at Kiemle-Hankins.
We all know that the Golden Rule represents an ideal and not necessarily a daily reality; however, we at the Kiemle-Hankins family of Companies strive to live up to this ideal in all of our relationships. We offer this marble to our associates and customers as tangible proof of this commitment.
