BIRCLAR is a supporting member of SEMMPES SEMPPES, South East Michigan Power Plant Engineers' Society, was formed in 1990 as a professional organization for engineers and suppliers of the powerhouse industry. It's goal is to provide an organization that address operating and maintenance issues, promotes friendship and socialization among engineers working in similar industries and present new and innovative information regarding the changing technology in the powerhouse environment.
